Tara is a writer, editor, and an adjunct English instructor. She has a Master of Arts in English/Creative Writing from Southern Methodist University and a B.A. in Professional Writing from Baylor University. When she is not working on Empirical or grading papers, she is writing a novel, and on weekends, watching movies and playing games with her five stepchildren.
Olav is a philosopher, writer, and photographer. He has a PhD in philosophy of religion and theology and an MA in philosophy from the Claremont. Olav has been teaching philosophy for the past seventeen years, including many sections on eastern religions, and is the author of Myths of the Self (Lexington Books, 2004). He enjoys playing basketball, nature photography, singing, and playing guitar. He has been a member of the United Methodist Church for forty years, and a member of Subud, an interfaith association that practices an active meditation called the latihan kejiwaan, for thirty years.
